On the Mat:
I am drawn to gentle, slow practices where I can really connect with my body, calm my mind and breathe. This is where I have found some of the best classes I have ever attended and as a yoga instructor, these are the classes I love to teach. Allowing my students to slow down, practice the poses to the best of their abilities while honoring their bodies. I also like to mix things up and add some easy, but different movement to the class ensuring that we give some love to our bodies from our toes to the crown of our heads.
A lasting relationship:
I stepped onto my mat for my first yoga class in 2003. I loved the feeling of stretching my body and calming down my chattering mind, so I kept going to classes. After years of practice, my heart told me I needed to become a yoga instructor and share my love of this practice. In 2016, I graduated from Purple Lotus Yoga as a 200-hour certified teacher. My love affair with yoga continued as I earned my 100 Hour Yin Yoga certification, and my 500-hour yoga certification, all through Purple Lotus Yoga.
From my students:
Liz's classes leave me feeling calmer, peaceful, happy, ready for the day, relaxed, ageless, centered, more flexible.
Disclaimer: I am a yoga instructor and not a trained medical professional. Your yoga practice is your practice. Honor your body and what it is capable of doing. Respect your limitations. You know your body better than anyone.
